What is professional teeth whitening?
During teeth whitening, discolourations embedded in the enamel and dentine are lightened with a dentist-controlled whitening gel. Unlike home remedies, the active agent is precisely dosed and the gums are protected.
We only whiten healthy teeth. That is why every treatment begins with an examination and usually a professional dental cleaning – so the gel is applied evenly and the result lasts longer.

Frequently asked questions
Is teeth whitening harmful to the teeth?
Professional teeth whitening under dental supervision is considered safe for healthy teeth. The enamel is not removed; the gel lightens embedded colour pigments. A prior check-up is important so that, for example, untreated decay or leaking fillings can be ruled out.
How long does the result last?
Depending on your lifestyle and dietary habits, usually one to three years. Coffee, tea, red wine and nicotine shorten the effect. The result can be easily maintained with a touch-up.
Do fillings, crowns or veneers become lighter too?
No. Dentures and fillings do not change their colour through whitening. If visible restorations are present, we plan this together so that everything harmonises in the end.
Will I get sensitive teeth?
Temporary sensitivity is possible and usually subsides within a few days. We use gentle products and advise you on measures that reduce the risk.
Is teeth whitening also possible with receding gums?
We clarify this individually. Exposed tooth necks can react more sensitively – an adapted approach is often advisable. Please feel free to talk to us about it.
