What is gum contouring?
Gum contouring is a cosmetic treatment in which we specifically even out the course of the gums. This allows uneven gum margins to be balanced and the proportion of gum visible when smiling – often referred to as a “gummy smile” – to be reduced. The result is a more balanced appearance of teeth and gums.
We carry out the procedure gently and minimally invasively under local anaesthetic using modern technology. The subsequent healing usually takes place within one to two weeks. Many patients perceive their smile as more harmonious afterwards and notice a clear gain in self-confidence.
